Located in the town of My Tho, this time on dry land, we have the Buddhist Vinh Trang Pagoda. Built in 1849 and with a surface of more than 14000 square meters, it is the largest province of Tien Giang pagoda. The Vinh Trang Pagoda is located about 3 kilometers from the center of My Tho.
The most striking of the Vinh Trang pagoda is its architecture, blends European and Asian architecture (colonial architecture French, romance, Thai and Cambodian, with any other influence of the Champa). The pagoda consists of a total of 178 columns.
In the back of the Vinh Trang Pagoda is a small garden with bonsai, a lake with fish and various statues of Buddha, 2 of them of considerable size.
The entrance to the Vinh Trang pagoda is free and their hours are 9:00 to 11:30 and 13: 30 to the 17: 00.
