Maria Statue – Big Statue of St. Maria with a child and big Catholic complex is situated opposite Mulberry Beach under the Big Mountain, Vung Tau, Viet Nam. The annual conference of the Vietnam Episcopal Council is usually taken place here.
Maria Statue was established by Bishop Joseph Le Van An on May 15, 1969. today Bai Dau Maria Statue has become a wonderful tourist attraction and a place of worship of the domestic and international visitors.
Cathedral of Saint Virgin Mary standing on the side of a hill, 28 meters above sea level. the left slope of Marian shine was rebuilt on March 19, 1994 with 49 meters length and 38 meters width with the sailing boat shape. 27.5 meters high tower seems to be solid mast in order to keep the boat go out to sea and comeback safely.
Moreover, Bai Dau Pilgrimage Center has Dozens of Religious congregations and societies setting up their communities around the shrine in a popular beach area of Vung Tau town. Within the campus of Bai Dau Virgin Mary church, there is a giant religious architecture. There is the way to the peak of Lon mountain to see the whole view of Vung Tau city.
The giant statue of Christ the King in Small Mountain and the statue of St. Maria in Big Mountain are two of most well-known religious relics in Vung Tau.
